Project Description
In May 2008 CBS designed the services for a 10 storey office building in Croydon, London for CBRE investors. 

The project involved extensive structural refurbishment to the existing building to incorporate a new core area to increase the available floor plan area from 21,500m² to 24,000 m².

The project also included a new atrium structure, to accommodate a new building reception, designed to include for passive cooling and natural ventilation. Dynamic Thermal modelling was undertaken to assess the heating and cooling loads of the building. 

The new atrium reception area was extensively developed with several options being implemented including 
- Solar shading to reduce high angle solar gains.
- Automatic high level louvres eject warm and stale.
- Low level ventilation for night-time purging
